Alpine Steelhead

When we introduced the Skeena/Nass Safari in 2024, one thing became immediately clear: guests were captivated by the Bell Irving River. Many admitted they simply didn’t want to leave. We listened—and for the 2026 season, we’ve created a Bell-only experience called the Alpine Steelhead Program. This unique offering allows guests to spend an entire week exploring the exceptional fly water of the Bell Irving. To preserve the quality of the experience, the program is limited to just two anglers per week.

Guests spend the full week at Bell II Lodge, fishing the upper Bell Irving River—the largest and most productive tributary of the Nass system. This is classic steelhead water, known for strong summer and fall returns of fish in the 6- to 20-pound range, breathtaking alpine scenery, and wading that is relatively forgiving by BC standards.

Bell II Lodge is a spacious, well-appointed facility that serves heli-skiers in winter and outdoor enthusiasts through the summer and fall. Guests stay in Swiss-style chalet cabins in exceptional single-occupancy rooms, with generous common areas to relax after a day on the river. Breakfast and dinner are served in the main dining room alongside other lodge guests.

Accommodations at Bell II Lodge are based in Swiss-style chalet cabins. Guests stay in recently renovated deluxe rooms on the upper level, just a short 100-metre walk from the main lodge. These rooms feature vaulted ceilings, heated floors, ensuite bathrooms, and exceptionally comfortable beds.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the main dining room. Mornings begin with a well-prepared buffet featuring hot items such as bacon, sausages, and scrambled eggs, along with fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, and more. Evenings include a three-course dinner with a choice of appetizers and entrées, selected the night before. Each day, a packed lunch is prepared for you, which your guide will bring along to the river.
